ATEXT A — Cedar Lane Tool Share
BMembers may borrow up to three hand tools for seven days. Power tools require a short safety demonstration, which is offered at 18:00 on Wednesdays. Membership is open to residents aged eighteen or over and costs £24 a year. A refundable £20 deposit is required only when borrowing power tools. Reservations expire at closing time on the collection day. Tools returned muddy incur a cleaning charge, while normal wear is not charged. The service does not lend ladders, protective footwear or equipment intended for commercial work. Renewals are completed online, and membership pauses do not extend an active loan.
CTEXT B — West Market Parcel Lockers
DThe lockers stand inside the station concourse and can be reached from 05:30 until 23:00. Customers receive a six-digit collection code by text message. Parcels remain for forty-eight hours; after that they are transferred to the staffed depot on Kings Road. The smallest lockers accept returns, but a prepaid label must already be attached. Oversized packages and items requiring proof of age are delivered only to the depot. Anyone who cannot use the touch screen may press the assistance button to speak to station staff. The depot has evening staff, although parcels transferred there cannot be collected on Sundays.
ETEXT C — Meadowbrook Seed Exchange
FThe exchange opens on the second Sunday of each month from February to October. Visitors may take five packets without charge if they contribute at least one clearly labelled packet of viable seed. Commercial hybrid seed is accepted, although saved seed from hybrid plants should be marked because it may not grow true to type. Volunteers can help beginners choose varieties for balconies and shaded gardens. Glass jars are not accepted; seed must be dry and packed in paper envelopes. Packets with an uncertain collection year go on a separate table for experienced growers to examine.
GTEXT D — Harbour Sports Hall Evening Access
HAfter 19:00, entry is through the east door using a membership card. Casual badminton courts can be booked until 20:30, but the fitness room is reserved for members who have completed an induction. Lockers operate with a reusable wristband collected from reception. The showers close fifteen minutes before the building. Children under sixteen may attend organised coaching but cannot use the hall unsupervised. Bicycles should be secured outside; folding models may be left in the supervised equipment room if they are clean. Reception can also lend a shower-access chair when it is requested before the session.
