SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET — NEW VENDOR GUIDE
Applications are reviewed on the first Monday of each month. Vendors must describe what they produce and where it is made or grown. Preference is given to goods produced within 100 kilometers, but the manager may accept a more distant vendor if the product is not otherwise available at the market. Reselling mass-produced goods is not permitted.
Approved vendors provide their own tables, weather protection, and clearly displayed prices. Spaces are 3 meters wide and do not include electricity unless arranged in advance. Food vendors must submit the required health permit before their first market date. Fees are paid monthly and are not reduced for days missed because of ordinary rain. The market closes only when officials issue a severe-weather warning; in that case, the fee is credited to the following month.
Vendors receive an assigned space number two days before each market. Moving to an apparently empty space is not allowed because late-arriving sellers may still hold that reservation. Products must remain within the marked area, and all vehicles should leave the market lane thirty minutes before customers are admitted for safety.
