The campus community garden needs volunteers for its autumn workday this Saturday from eight thirty until noon. Teams will clear summer plants, spread compost, repair raised beds, and harvest remaining vegetables for the neighborhood food pantry. No gardening experience is necessary; team leaders will demonstrate each task. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty. Gloves and tools are provided, but bring a refillable water bottle. Check in at the garden shed rather than the Sustainability Office. The event will continue in light rain and will be canceled only if lightning is forecast. A cancellation notice will be posted by seven Saturday morning.
